Gilford Village Knolls III Update
Gilford Village Knolls III (GVK III) is currently under construction and scheduled for completion in summer 2018. After a successful first blower door test to determine air tightness of the building, construction crews have been busy installing the triple-glazed windows. Installation of interior insulation, electrical, and mechanical, as well as the elevator are also underway.
Our goal is for this building to be Passive House Certified. If we are successful it will be the first multi-family affordable housing project to receive this certification in NH!

Building Community at RIVER'S EDGE
Once a week you can find many River's Edge residents socializing in the Tenant Lounge for Coffee Hour. A resident board member who serves on the Tenant Advisory Committee brought the desire of some residents to get to know their neighbors to a committee meeting and with the help of our Resident Service Coordinator and a coffee maker Coffee Hour began. Half of River's Edge residents are seniors. For seniors especially socialization is important, enhancing health and stimulating mind and memory. Most bring their own mugs, we provide the coffee, and they provide the news and laughs.

Check out some options here. There are also a lot of great New England Chocolate makers around if you want to decrease your carbon footprint!

What is a healthy home? Healthy homes promote physical and mental well-being, which contribute to success in work, education, and relationships. It describes a home that is safe, affordable, energy-efficient, dry, clean, ventilated, free from pests and contaminants, and designed to facilitate access to healthy food, outdoor recreational opportunities, and to the extent feasible, other goods and services needed on a regular basis.
Today, in addition to building affordable rental housing, Lakes Region Community Developers is working to develop other types of real estate that responds to local community needs. This includes affordable, single-family homes for sale; mixed-income multi-family rental properties; and community facilities for child care, health care, and workforce development.
