Jameson Street Apartments Update

We are loving the ongoing transformation of 11 Jameson St, Laconia into three units of supportive housing for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, in partnership with Lakes Region Community Services! This project is on track to be completed in September.

NH Housing and NH Community Development Finance Authority provided funding for this project.

LRCS Gives $1,500 for Jameson St Landscaping

Becky Tolman of Lakes Region Community Services presents $1,500 check to Carmen Lorentz of LRCD.

During NH Gives in June, Lakes Region Community Services also featured the Jameson Street landscaping project in their fundraising campaign. As a result, they were able to add another $1,500 to the NH Gives total, bringing our total raised to $11,845!

Millview Apartments Makeover

Check out the beautiful new siding, front doors, and roofs at our Millview Apartments located at 115 & 117 Union Ave, 28 & 30 Locust St, and 5 Jameson St in Laconia. We especially love the pops of color on the new doors! 

Funding was provided by a Community Development Block Grant through the City of Laconia and NH Community Development Finance Authority.

Next up: rooftop solar arrays will be added to the south-facing buildings on Locust St and Union Ave, which will reduce annual occupancy costs for tenants. Solar install is scheduled for the fall, thanks to a low-income solar grant from the NH Department of Energy.

Hannaford bag program

LRCD is proud to be the focus of the Hannaford Community Bag Program partnership this month! Any time you purchase a reusable Community Bag for $2.50 at the Hannaford located at 1425 Lakeshore Rd in Gilford, $1 will be donated to LRCD.
