Sal Steven-Hubbard to Retire

Picture
Sal Steven-Hubbard, LRCD's Senior Real Estate Developer, will retire on June 25th after 14 years of service at LRCD.
Sal has remained fiercely committed to the belief that everyone deserves to live in a safe home. For 35 years, she dedicated herself to the difficult task of creating affordable housing opportunities for people with low income throughout New England.
Sal always joked that she never saw a site she didn't want to develop. She wasn't afraid to take on difficult projects -- in fact, the more challenging the project, the more she seemed to want to do it! She had just the right mix of unbridled optimism, creativity, and persistence to excel in this field.
Under Sal's leadership, LRCD created, preserved, and improved nearly 200 units of affordable housing in the Lakes Region, including building the first multi-family property in New Hampshire to achieve Passive House certification (Gilford Village Knolls Phase III).
We will miss Sal's adventurous spirit, her passion for social justice, and her infectious laugh. LRCD truly will not be the same without her!
Congratulations on your retirement, Sal!

NH Gives - Thank You!

Picture
NH Gives 2026 is a wrap, and thanks to the generosity of many in our community, during the 24-hour campaign, we raised $12,575 for appliances at our newest workforce housing development, Harriman Hill III in Wolfeboro! In addition, some generous donors recently pitched in outside of the NH Gives campaign, and we have surpassed our overall goal of $57,000. This means we have extra funds to help purchase the washers & dryers for the six laundry rooms!

Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed to make this project a success!

 NeighborWorks Week

NeighborWorks Week celebrates the accomplishments of the NeighborWorks America network and mobilizes thousands of volunteers to give back through community service projects and neighborhood revitalization efforts.

As a chartered member of NeighborWorks America for 26 years, we were thrilled to celebrate this year with a variety of projects across our portfolio, including community clean-up days and community gardens!

Thank you to the residents at Lochmere Meadows in Tilton, Ames Brook in Ashland, and Avery Hill and River's Edge in Laconia for volunteering to make a difference in your community!

Granite United Way - Day of Caring

Thank you to the volunteers from Granite State Glass and Concord Hospital who came out for Day of Caring, despite the wet and drizzly weather! They did an amazing job putting in new landscaping at Millview Apartments on Union Avenue in Laconia!
